About GigMaven
[gig]: a musician's engagement [mey-vuhn]: one who is knowledgeable: expert![]() : the first website where musicians and venues can manage the entire booking process online
Headquartered in New York City, GigMaven helps connect aspiring musicians with live music venues, independent music labels and radio stations. GigMaven launched in beta on January 27th, 2008 in conjunction with GigFest '08, GigMaven's 1st annual charity music festival. GigFest '08 featured twenty six up-and-coming artists at six venues on the Lower East Side of New York City. All proceeds from the festival benefitted VH1 Save the Music, Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation and Global Music Project . GigFest '08 was also covered by NY1 News, Timeout NYC and The Village Voice. GigMaven helps venues streamline the booking process. It's easy to be overwhelmed by gig requests from musicians in person, on the phone and via email. GigMaven reduces the hassle by allowing venues to manage their calendars and book artists all in one place. Just create a gig on the calendar, receive and review musician submissions via GigMaven and pick who plays. It's that simple. On the other side, GigMaven helps musicians find and book gigs online. We realize that booking gigs is a time-consuming process, whether it's done in person, over the phone or via email. It's already hard enough to make it as a musician, why waste so much precious time trying to book gigs? GigMaven reduces the hassle by centralizing the booking process, allowing musicians to manage their schedules and to apply to gigs with a single click. Just search for open gigs, apply and wait to hear back from the venues. Yes, it's that simple. GigMaven wants to make all of your lives easier, so sign up, create a profile and let's start booking some gigs! GigMaven Team
