Poetry with low down, bluesy, drop-tuned post rock/post punk/sludge rock/drone from the Philadelphia area:
"We have found-percussion. We have drums. We have guitars heard with the chest. And we have words. Everything we are or have been may change and has changed, except...we will always be loud."
Born in 2003 out of the need to record experimental poetry in Newark, DE. Began as poetry collective made up of about a dozen people. Slowly evolved into a music-generating outfit during the recording and production of their first full length concept album (Your Fucked Face is Sharp and Crhome, 2004). The full-time music commenced with founding members Nigel and Matt on guitars and vocals and JW on percussion in late 2005. Exploded sonically in 2008 when Chris joined the band to play drums. Is constantly evolving their sound through both experimentation and acquisition of new equipment to experiment with. Will continue to do so as long as the band shall live. Expect them to never play the same song [the same way] twice.
"Droned-out, sludgy, experimental, blues-tinged heavy rock."
— Rob Kalesse, Metromix Delaware/Spark Magazine
"With two sets of drums, and two drop-tuned, heavy-bottomed guitars, they are weird, irreverent, sometimes illogical, but nevertheless you can count on them to be low and groovy."
— Wilmington Fringe Festival 2009 Program Guide
" [A] big, warm blanket of sludge."
— Mike Pollock, Out and About Magazine
