SPANGLISH FLY

Spanglish Fly is NYC's only band reviving and revitalizing the sounds of late-60s Spanish Harlem: Latin soul, boogaloo, and shingaling! Our 5-part horn section, piano, bass, and 4 Latin percussionists lay down grooves that make audiences go wild with pleasure, and our divine lead singer offers up bugalú dance lessons at every performance.

We cover Latin soul classics (by Joe Cuba, Ray Barretto, for example), arrange our own boogaloo renditions of crowd-pleasing hits (I Heard It through the Grapevine, Time is On My Side) and write our own tunes that are destined to be the boogaloo classics of tomorrow!
